Work at Home Mom Should Take Care and Love Yourself

A work at home mom can easily forget to take care of herself! Work at home mom has the privilege to wear pyjamas to work from the comfort of own home, but it doesn’t mean that you should. Every morning when you wake up, the first thing is to get change and make yourself look clean and nice. You don’t need to put on the makeup since you are at home, but you need to at least feel good and pretty stand in front of the mirror.

It’s especially important when you go out in public. You don’t know when you will meet your business clients and you are actually surrounded by potential business clients. You never know who you are going to run into and therefore you should never wear pyjamas on the street. Of course you don’t have to wear a business suit, but try to get something in the middle of formal and casual. Sometimes a simple blouse, jeans or sweater will do the trick.

When is the last time you bought yourself a new outfit? If you just can’t recall your last shopping for your wardrobe, it’s time for you to get yourself some new clothes and update your wardrobe.

How long you never go for a manicure or pedicure? Just find one day go for a manicure or pedicure. It won’t take you too long but the effect is good.

Question: What’s the difference between acrylic and gel nails?
Here are some comparisons to help you decide which works best for you.

Acrylic Nails

  • Composed of 2 parts: liquid and powder
  • Take a bit longer than gels to dry
  • Most are stronger, but can break due to lack of flexibility
  • Cost less than gels
  • Requires filling every 2-3 weeks depending on how quickly your nails grow

Gel Nails

  • More natural looking
  • Limited filing required reducing the risk of burns/cuts
  • Dry with a UV lamp
  • Quick to dry, but the whole application process takes longer
  • Lifting can occur if you have oily nails or live in a humid environment
  • Cost is higher than acrylics
  • Also require filling every 2-3 weeks

Most nail salons offer both options. Always talk with your nail technician about any concerns you have beforehand. Choose the option that works best for you and enjoy you’re pretty, new nails.

I totally agree, as work at home moms, we must give extra care ourselves. We also deserve it.

awwwww but what about on my case? I am a full time programmer who works mondays to saturdays more than 8 hours. i have those online money making. i am also an online seller. i also have to take care of my baby when i’m at home, as in literally.

i don’t have the time to take care of myself.

lack of time management? i would say, i lack time to do everything i should do. so many task that 24 hours is not enough. i sleep 4 to 6 hours a day.

would i still have your respect if i say that i can’t even cut my long nails. i sometimes have no time to brush my teeth or take a bath? hahaha

still this is money making, i can still handle it. but i’m having a hard time.

pampering myself would be a great treatment for myself. today is my birthday in chinese calendar. well, it doesn’t seem to be my birthday.

i guess when one lacks time to do everything, the first thing that we women forgot, just like your topic right now, is taking care of oneself.

health-wise and cleanliness-wise, my rating to myself is 2 out of 10. 10 is the highest score hahaha

yeah i know, it is really over. but right now, since the water supply at home is ok, i manage to brush my teeth everyday. thanks to the water supply :)

i got to play “hide and seek” with my baby when I would get ready to go to work. i would make him watch his fav videos while my mother-in-law or husband tries play with him. I am going to sneak out and take a bath, brush my teeth, and sometimes prepare the packages to be sent to my buyers.

then my husband brings food at the bedroom for me, so after breakfast, they would just make my baby look on the other direction, then i would run as quickly as i can and sneak out hahaha… no hi no hello no goodbye. even if there are visitors and i should say “hi” for some respect, they wouldn’t here a word from me. and they are even laughing because they all know why I am running hahaha. the visitors even help us cover me up while I am sneaking out, so my baby won’t see me.

and by the way, when i went home, i won’t be able to eat dinner because my baby would rush to me and pull me upstairs, play with me and hold me. he wouldn’t make me eat my dinner! well unless he holds the spoon and feed me. my baby is 1 yr and 8 months.

now, isn’t it so exciting? hahaha
