Singapore ACRA – Online Sales Is A Business
I always say treat blogging and online sales as a serious online business that may earn you money. But how true is my statement and is it really a business? Let me show you the proof. Take a look at the screenshot below, they give the answer for the following 3 questions:
- If I am doing online sales via my personal blog, do I need to register a business with ACRA?
- If I am selling things on ebay, do I need to register a business with ACRA?
- If I am selling things via my personal website, do I need to register the activity as a business with ACRA?
This screenshot is taken from ACRA website (Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority Singapore)
The answer from ACRA Singapore for the above 3 questions is:
- Any activity that is carried out on a continuity basis for the purpose of gain is required to be registered with ACRA.
I hope by now you have a clearer picture about Online Business and I believe only when you have the business mindset, your Online Business will eventually grow well.
